It has been a wonderful thing to be able to give a lot presents wrapped in shoe boxes to so many kids ! 
we got the boxes in Serbia from an organization called "Love your neighbor" They work in connection with "Operation Christmas Child" in England.
Many kids in England made (with the help of mums or dads of course) shoe boxes which then they send to a lot of nations !
This year they were excited to send us many gifts for Uzice. Usually the send these gifts to poor places but even though the people here can afford to give their kids gifts, It is still so special to receive a present from someone of your own age from another nation !
So we organized to bring the gifts to the kindergartens, hospital and an orphanage. It was wonderful to see so many smiley faces. An international group of students was visiting us. They liked helping us and sang some songs plus helped with a short play about the traditional story of the birth of Christ. A nice celebration and fun for kids.
 This is what made our Christmas season really special. We are thankful for all who donated packages,and we hope it inspires even others as well to give and do similar projects everywhere like this.  We all have something good to give to others I believe. I like the name of the association which matches their actions : "love your neighbor".
